There are 10 categories available, reflecting the breadth and diversity of the small fleet leasing company offerings to the SME market, and one specialist award voted by the small fleet leasing specialists themselves.

Those companies providing leasing for SMEs with fewer than 250 sales a year (Jan 2014 to Dec 2014). You will have to provide evidence of your sales and your commitment and service to the SME. Judges will be looking for exceptional deals, expertise and financial guidance to SMEs.

Best small fleet leasing company: 250-1000 vehicle sales

A new category this year to reflect where the majority of brokers operate. For those companies providing leasing for SMEs with more than 250 sales a year (Jan 2014 to Dec 2014) but not exceeding 1000 sales per year. You will have to provide evidence of your sales and your commitment and service to the SME. Judges will be looking for exceptional deals, expertise and financial guidance to SMEs and your ability to manage service and volume.

For those small fleet leasing companies providing leasing for SMEs with more than1000 sales a year (Jan 2014 to Dec 2014). You will have to provide evidence of your sales and your commitment and service to the SME. Judges will be looking for exceptional deals, expertise and financial guidance to SMEs and your ability to manage service and volume.

We want to find the gold standard in small fleet leasing programmes delivered by manufacturers through their dealer networks. You will need to provide evidence of a structured small business and SME small fleet programme, and the benefits it provides to the sector.

Many dealer groups have their own leasing companies to deliver small fleet leasing services to the SME sector. What makes your service different? Why is better than other sources of small fleet leasing on the market. Examples must be from the period Jan 2014-Dec 2014.

Best leasing funder award

A special Small Fleet Leasing Federation award to the leasing funder providing the best service to the broker network. Voted for by members of the Small Fleet Leasing Federation.
Who are the judges?
The awards will be judged by a panel of eight experts from the leasing industry chaired by David Brennan, chief executive of Nexus Vehicle Management.
The Best independent small fleet leasing company and Best dealer small fleet leasing company categories will be judged by Paul Hollick, Colin Tourick, Peter Hollinshead and chair David Brennan only.
David Brennan, chairman.
David is the CEO of Nexus Vehicle Rental, the leading provider of corporate vehicle rental in the UK through its award winning Intelligent Rental Information System, IRIS.
Before joining Nexus, David had been with the vehicle leasing firm, LeasePlan UK, for 8 years as Managing Director and oversaw the substantial growth of LeasePlan UK, both in profits and scale.

Gavin Davies, Alphabet.
Gavin is Head of Indirect Sales at Business Mobility specialists Alphabet.
Gavin heads up Alphabet Partner, an exclusive channel that provides SME organisations with access to Alphabet’s full suite of funding, fleet management and advanced mobility solutions via a select network of Broker partners.
Gavin joined Alphabet from LeasePlan, having held two Regional Director roles including Network.
Ty Smith, Arval.
SME business car leasing expert Ty Smith, brings a wealth of experience to the awards. Currently Head of SME Sales for Arval UK, a position he has occupied for three years, he was previously national broker manager for almost four-years and joined Arval’s fledging broker channel in 2004 as a Sales Manager in the South East.



Steve Cocks, Lex Autolease.
Steve, who is now in his 24th year at Lloyds banking group, is now director of Lex Autolease Broker Division. Steve has led broker teams for Bank of Scotland, Lex and now Lex Autolease. His background is in both dealer and asset finance where he held positions in sales and management.

Peter Hollinshead, FleetSave.
Peter, who is now a director of FleetSave – a company that finds cost efficiencies for SME to large fleets - is a former Head of HSBC Vehicle Finance for five years. Peter’s previous experience at HSBC includes heading up the purchasing and vehicle management division as well as heading the HSBC commercial vehicle division.
Prior to joining Nexus, David held several high profile positions across the automotive industry, consultancy and outsourcing sectors; including working for Rover Group, Mazda UK, AT Kearney, RL Polk and Capita PLC.
Arval is one of the leading vehicle leasing and fleet management companies, with 40 years experience and over 100,000 company cars and vans managed.
His extensive knowledge and experience in this sector has contributed to year on year growth and a strong focus on quality for the broker proposition. Steve believes this approach provides a strong foundation for introducers to add value, win customers and retain them
Colin Tourick, Grant Thornton Professor of Automotive Management, University of Buckingham.
Colin is a management consultant specialising in the automotive fleet and asset finance markets in the UK and overseas. He is also a prolific author, with eight books including ‘Managing Your Company Cars’, 'Company Car & Van Tax 2015-16' and 'Do The Maths - How to decide whether you should lease or buy'.
He is a 35 year leasing industry veteran, the former managing director of CitiCapital Fleet and the co-founder of the International Auto Finance Network.
Paul Hollick, The Miles Consultancy.
Paul is the commercial director of The Miles Consultancy (TMC), the fuel purchasing and mileage management specialists, as well being chairman of the Institute of Car Fleet Management (ICFM).
A qualified chartered accountant, Paul began his fleet career at Inchcape Fleet Solutions where he was head of finance and for four years before joining Alphabet in 2007.
At Alphabet, Paul was part of their executive team where he headed up all their sales and marketing activities, while leading innovation, development and delivery of new products into the UK market.
Paul was also chairman of the Business Car Manager SME Company Car of the Year Awards 2015.



Chris Tubbs, Network Vehicles.
Chris is the Brand Director of Network Vehicles, LeasePlan's specialist brand of Network franchisees providing leasing products for small businesses and individuals.
With wide-ranging experience in the leasing sector for over 25 years, Chris joined LeasePlan in 1996 and has held responsibility in a number of areas, including managing the technical services and remarketing teams. Previous to becoming Brand Director of Network, Chris was Head of Risk.
